Dr. Karen Schwarz serves on the Board of Trustees for the Museum. She is on the education and marketing committees and is an education advisor to the Women in Aerospace and Technology Program. She holds a B.S. in Physics from New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology and a Ph.D. in astrophysics from Arizona State University. Dr. Schwarz is an Associate Professor in the Department of Geology & Astronomy at West Chester University. She is also the director of the Mather Planetarium at WCU. Dr. Schwarz’s research interests are in astronomy education, specifically in informal K-12 education.
