Marc Sheffler is the Chairman, Board of Trustees, of the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center in West Chester, PA. Mr. Sheffler retired from The Boeing Company in 2011 after 38 years of service. His most recent assignment was Chief Technology Integrator for Boeing Advanced Mobility (Rotorcraft). Marc’s previous assignments include Director of Engineering for Boeing’s Mesa, Arizona, site, Director of Integrated Product Teams for the Apache Program and Director of Research and Technology in Philadelphia. He is a Fellow of the American Helicopter Society, Ex-Officio Technical Chairman and Mid-East Region Director. Marc is a 1973 graduate of Virginia Tech with a BS in Aerospace and Ocean Engineering and holds an MS from Widener University in Engineering Mechanics and Engineering Management. He is a current member of the Virginia Tech College of Engineering’s Committee of 100. He was awarded the Virginia Tech 2009 Distinguished Service Award. Marc’s community involvement includes past President of the JDRF Delaware Board of Directors and he is the Development Director for the Delaware AeroSpace Education Foundation (DASEF).
