Upon graduation from the USNA, Robert accepted a commission in the US Marine Corps. Following TBS in Quantico, he earned his wings and flew CH-53’s for 17 years. This time was split evenly between active and reserve duty.After separating from active duty in 1986, he worked as a consultant for Naval Air Systems Command on the “Pioneer” Remotely Piloted Vehicle (RPV) program. Eventually this role transitioned to work for the prime contractor, AAI Corporation in Baltimore, MD.In 1994, Robert began working for AgustaWestland (then Agusta Aerospace Company) and since that time has remained in a sales or sales management capacity for rotary and fixed wing aircraft. During the past 20 years, he has also worked for Bombardier and American Eurocopter, ultimately returning to AgustaWestland in 2011.His current position at AgustaWestland is Vice President Americas - Commercial Business Unit. Although he is based in Philadelphia, he reports directly to AW SpA in Italy and bears responsibility for managing the sales activity throughout, North/Central/and South America. In addition, he is the senior representative for the Commercial Business Unit to the production facility at AgustaWestland Philadelphia Corporation.
