Visitors can experience what it is like to pilot a human powered helicopter in the latest exhibit to be installed at the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center. By pedaling a bicycle "cockpit" which replicates the effort required to lift this unique vehicle off the ground, visitors can watch a model of the Aerovelo Atlas rise in relation to the effort they expend. The Atlas won the AHS Igor Sikorsky Prize of $250,000 for flight of a human powered helicopter.

Members of the Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) recently visited the American Helicopter Museum and Education Center in West Chester, PA. View their video to see why a trip to AHMEC is both exciting and entertaining.
