Homeschooler's Day with AHMEC and Mather Planetarium

The American Helicopter Museum and West Chester University’s Mather Planetarium are joining together to offer a special day of information and programming for homeschooling families on Friday, February 2, 2018.

The Planetarium, located in the Schmucker Science Center on the north campus of West Chester University at the corner of Church St. and Rosedale Ave., will begin shows at 9:00 (school age children), then 10:30 (middle schoolers), that will end at 12:00 p.m. (high schoolers). The American Helicopter Museum will concurrently offer programming throughout the day from 10 a.m. until 4 p.m. All programs meet the Pennsylvania Department of Education's standards for STEM education.

Cost for both sites is $10.00 per person, and reservations are required (transportation between sites will not be provided). Bring a brown bag lunch to enjoy.

Parents should be aware that the planetarium gets extremely dark and some young children might find this frightening. Please register by calling (610) 436-9600 or by emailing Paul Kahan at pkahan@americanhelicopter.museum.
